Bio

My name is Shayne Marie Brady. I was born on May 17th, 1980 in Boston, Mass., which makes me 24 years old. Almost 25! Im a practitioner of Wicca now, but when I was growing up it was hard to practice in my own home. See, my mom and dad were STRICT. I mean, REALLY strict. It was church every Sunday with a Wednesday evening mass in between. Me and my brother, Joseph, were always getting into trouble. I practiced wicca and he just became a slacker and started smoking. I mean, at least I was learning.

When my lessons with Miss Raven began, I was thirteen years old. I told my parents that I was going to church activities with my best friend, Shelly. Of course it was a lie, Shelly wasnt even a member of a church. Her mother was the one who set us up with lessons. I guess Miss Raven was an old friend of hers... So we went to lessons three times a week. In no time, I was doing this spell to float a pencil. It was so cool!! I could feel the power growing in me.

A few years passed and while Shelly quit her lessons, I continued. Miss Raven had always seemed more interested in me anyways. I continued my lessons with her until I was 18. By then I could cast various spells and even perform spells that would let me project myself astrally for periods of time. But Im not one to brag. During the times when I was between 18 and 22 I did alot of travelling--if you can call it that. I would travel to both the upper and lower worlds through meditation to connect with my power and make it stronger. I would go to meet with my spirit guide and she would help me when I was in need. She let me name her 'Bella Donna', which means 'Beautiful Woman' in Italian. She was a young doe and would aid me in my magickal work.

When I was 23, I got my parents to send me to Devon, England for "college". Little did they know I was studying with a very powerful coven. I heard all these stories about this Willow Rosenberg that had once studied there. She was apparently a very powerful witch. I had always strived to be better than I was told she was. Then I heard that she was in New Orleans.

On my 24th birthday, I moved out of the family house for good. My mother and father were angry. They had wanted me to stay there until I was married. They were afraid that I would go out and 'whore' myself around. Little did they know that I was leaving for good. I picked up my entire 24 year old life and slapped it back down in New Orleans. I needed a break from the Boston life. From my Boston family. And to prove that I was jsut as good as Willow.
